After 18 months of sabbatical, West Indies batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan has made it back to the West Indian side for the ODIs during the tour of Australia, as reported by westindiescricket.com
Sarwan, who last represented his country in ODIs in June 2011, was in a legal battle and after WICB unfairly criticised his fitness publicly while dropping him from the list of centrally contracted players in 2010.
In the 50-over format, Sarwan has played 173 matches for West Indies, scoring 5644 runs at an average of 43.41
West Indies also recalled left-hander Narsingh Deonarine.
The West Indies squad will arrive in Australia on Jan 26 with the series set to begin on Feb 1 with the teams playing five ODIs and one T20.
