Ravichandran Ashwin, who was adjudged man-of-the-series for his rich haul of 18 wickets, conceded that it was a difficult job to get wickets on this kind of strip but feels that variation in pace did the trick for him.

"This pitch was a bit more challenging. I tried to alter the pace on the third day, it was a bit more docile. I enjoy bounce, that's one of the important ingredients I require from a pitch," Ashwin said.

He was also appreciative of Pragyan Ojha who complimented him well throughout the two Test matches.

"I have always maintained the he is a very good bowler.

We share a long association. We have been together for around 16-17 years and Ojha really, he compliments me well. I am happy that he got a five-for in the first innings," he said.(PTI)
