Former India captain Sourav Ganguly feels that Virat Kohli can be the ‘Next Big Thing’ in Indian cricket.

“He’s made an unbelievable impact at the No 3 spot and it’s a joy to watch the way he wins games on his own. He is a special talent and if he keeps his head on the shoulders, he could be the next big thing in Indian cricket,” Ganguly wrote in a column for Hindustan Times.

Virat Kohli smashed a match-winning unbeaten 128 against Sri Lanka on Tuesday in the fourth One-Day International at Colombo to take India to a six-wicket win.

Looking at Raina’s form, Ganguly hopes that he continues to improve at the current rate.

“It’s been a good series for Raina too. He has this tremendous gift of finding the boundaries and hopefully he keeps improving from here on,” Ganguly wrote

Suresh Raina and Kohli stitched an unbeaten partnership of 146 to guide India to victory.

With the victory, India took an unbeatable lead in the five-match series by leading 3-1.
