Sri Lanka win toss, elect to bat against Pakistan

Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardane won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in the first T20 international to be played at Hambantota.

 

Mahela expected the track to slow down as the match progressed.

 

"Looks like a good wicket, might slow down later on. Pakistan keep producing a lot of talented players, we have to be on our guard, " he said after winning the toss.

 

Pakistan's newly appointed captain Mohammad haffez said, "Captaincy is the biggest honour you can get as a player. I am honoured."

 

Shakeel Ansar, the wicket-keeper batsman will be playing his debut match for Pakistan
