Suresh Raina became the 13th Indian batsman to score 4000 One-Day Interntional (ODI) runs during his knock of 83 against England at Dharamsala. He completed the feat during his 159th ODI. Earlier in the series, Raina’s team-mate Virat Kohli had also achieved the said milestone.
In the ongoing series against England, Raina has been in brilliant form as he has scored four fifties in the four innings he has batted in. In the previous ODI at Mohali, his innings of 89 not out was pivotal in India clinching the series then.
Over the years, Raina has built a reputation of being a good one-day player – who can finish run-chases and also play valuable hands while setting up a target.
Here is his career record:
| M | Runs | Avg | 100s | 50s |
| 159 | 4068 | 36.98 | 3 | 28 |
