TUI Travel India has been appointed as the official travel agent in India for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 championship to be played in Sri Lanka from September 18.
The travel agency will have the exclusive rights to sell tour packages to Indian cricket fans for the event to be played over 20 days across four different venues with R Premadasa Stadium hosting the final on October 7, a release stated.
TUI India has introduced packages starting from Rs 14,999. This includes stay for two nights and three days on twin share, airport and stadium transfers and guaranteed match tickets of category two and three stands, it added.
"We are delighted to be a part of this grand event and privileged to partner as exclusive seller in India. Sri Lanka is an excellent value for money destination which offers shopping, beaches, entertainment and some exciting cricket," COO TUI India, Raja Natesan, said.
Indian team will start its campaign against Afghanistan on September 19 before playing England on September 23.
The super eight round will be played between September 27 to October 2. (PTI)
