After an on-field tune up for the Nov 14-18 Eden Gardens Test match against West Indies, master batsman Sachin Tendulkar Saturday night dipped into his favourite Bengali dishes at a city restaurant.
Accompanied by some junior members of the side, Tendulkar went to the Caught and Bowled eatery in the posh Salt Lake satellite township and gorged on bekti paturi and golden fried prawns.
Young talents Ajinkya Rahane, Umesh Yadav and Pragyan Ojha were with Tendulkar, who also advised the first two on tackling fish bones.
The diner ended with some Bengali sweets.
Local cricket buffs are eagerly hoping that the batting genius will complete a historic century of tons in international cricket at the Eden Gardens. The 38 year old cricketer is one century away from the feat. (IANS)
