India opener Virender Sehwag will lead the Delhi side against Uttar Pradesh in their opening Ranji Trophy match at Ghaziabad, starting November 2.
Delhi squad includes Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir, India vice-captain Virat Kohli and Indian bowler Ishant Sharma. Each of them are expected to be a part of India’s 15-member squad for the first Test against England in Ahmedabad, starting November 15.
India under-19 team skipper Unmukt Chand will also play for Delhi. Also included are Parvinder Awana and Ashish Nehra. Regular Delhi skipper Mithun Manhas will be playing too.
However, absent from the side is Shikhar Dhawan, as reported by NDTV. The opener will miss the first match due to his wedding and is expected to be back for the next round of Ranji Trophy.
