Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene on Monday credited his team’s series win over Pakistan to its ability to handle pressure.
Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by two wickets on Monday to wrap up the five-match one-day international series 3-1 their first since beating West Indies at home in February 2011.
"We knew we would be put under pressure and I thought throughout the series all the guys showed a lot of composure in handling situations. That probably was the difference in the series," Jayawardene was quoted saying by the Times of India.
"The way we handled tough situations than Pakistan was better. Our fielding standards were much better as well and I am proud about that."
