Canberra: Dec 19, 2011
Wet outfield and persistent rains have delayed the start of the second India-CA Chairman’s XI match at Canberra.
According to Cricket Australia’s website, the match would not resume before lunch as it has been delayed by at least two hours.
The earlier warm-up match between India and CA Chairman’s XI ended in a draw.
The Indians are likely to field their first team when they take on Cricket Australia Chairman's XI in their second and final warm-up game with the focus on the fitness of their fast bowlers ahead of the four-match Test series, starting December 26.
With the injury scare to Ishant Sharma, who is likely to be rested, the focus will be on Zaheer Khan -- also returning from injury after playing just a couple of a Ranji matches.
