When Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman in men’s One-Day Internationals (ODIs), the Railway Budget presented by Mamata Banerjee on that day swamped by the maestro’s achievements in the front page of the following day’s Indian newspapers.

 

Today, March 16, 2012, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee presented the Union Budget in the Parliament. But Sachin Tendulkar chose this day to score his much-awaited 100th international hundred against in the Asia Cup. Only the unexpected Indian defeat could possibly save from the Union Budget not getting its due in the national newspapers tomorrow.
