India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been nominated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for the Arjuna Awards 2012.
Yuvraj was awarded the Player of the tournament in 2011 World Cup where he played a crucial role in India triumph. He scored 362 runs and took 15 wickets. Presently, he is recovering from a rare germ-cell cancer and is undergoing training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Earlier, BCCI had failed to nominate players before the previous April 30 deadline, stating that the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs didn’t inform them about it.
