Glaring umpiring error costs match for India: Video

Umpire's error may have cost India the ODI match against Sri Lanka in the tri-series match in Adelaide. Only 5 of 6 deliveries bowled in 30th over. The India vs Sri Lanka match in Adelaide has ended in a thrilling tie after both teams were tied at 236 runs

The match ended in a tie with India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni managing three runs of the final Malinga delivery in the 50th over to level the scores.

When Lasith Malinga bowled the 30th over of the day, the Sri Lankan pacer sent down five deliveries after which the umpires indicated over change. The five deliveries in the 30th over had yielded nine runs with Dhoni taking single of the fifth delivery.

With the match ending in a tie, there was every possibility that

Yuvraj Singh, who is battling cancer, has found support from his India teammate Virender Sehwag who wished him a speedy recovery

"Yuvraj I heard is taking chemotherapy but I'm hoping that he will be fine and he'll come back soon. We will all pray for Yuvraj and wish he'll be fit soon," he said.

Speaking on the eve of the second ODI against Sri Lanka of the CB series, Sehwag said he was confident that the stylish left-hander, who played a stellar role in India's World Cup win, will emerge victorious in his battle.

"He'll come out of whatever problem he is having and he can play as soon as possible," Sehwag said.

Yuvraj Singh's dad blames mother, physio for delay in treatment: Video

Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh said somewhere Yuvraj's mother and physio Jatin Chaudhary are responsible for late treatment of the cricketer. He said that his son should have been sent earlier to the US for cancer treatment.

Expressing anguish over his son's ailment and the delay in his being given proper medical treatment, Yograj said, "His treatment was going on for the past six to eight months, I wouldn't want to blame anyone but when we knew that he had this problem then he should have been sent to America much earlier for treatment. He would have fully recovered in three weeks."

Yuvraj is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the Boston Medical Centre, after being diagnosed with lung cancer, which was earlier said

CCL: Karnataka Bulldozers vs Kerala Strikers full match Video

Kerala Strikers were comprehensively beaten by Karnataka Bulldozers in their latest Celebrity League cricket match on Sunday.

Set to score 248 the Kerala team were all out for 107 giving the Karnataka team a win by 140 runs.

Rajiv Pillai, who made 27, was the top scorer for the Kerala team.

Earlier in the day Karnataka piled up the runs by losing just three wickets. The massive 214-run opening partnership between Rajiv and Bhaskar laid the foundation stone for the innings.

Rajiv who completed his century in just 43 balls remained not out on 154 of 63 balls.

The last round of the CCL witnessed the Kerala Strikers defeating Bengal Tigers by just 1 run. Saturday, February 4th had two games going on for the league from Vizag.

Rajeev Pillai earned "Man of the Match" honors.

The CCL 2012 edition is playing its final games this weekend for Celebrity Cricket League action. The winners this weekend could likely carry momentum heading into the playoffs.

Batting first Kerala Strikers amassed 149 runs in the allotted 20 overs, with Rajeev Pillai scoring a fine half century which included six fours and three sixes.

Bengal Tigers started confidently but ultimately faltered at the end as they finished one run short of Kerala's score.

Sahara India ends ties with BCCI; withdraws from IPL: Video

In a surprise development, the Indian cricket team's longtime sponsor Sahara India today ended financial ties with the BCCI and also pulled out of the IPL by withdrawing from Pune Warriors' ownership just hours before the players' auction.

Sahara, which has been the team sponsor for 11 years, signed a renewed agreement with the BCCI on July 1, 2010 till December 31, 2013.

Sahara was paying Rs 3.34 crore per Test match, one-day international and Twenty20 International under the new terms.

Telugu warriors led by Venkatesh registered a thumping 9-wicket win over Rajeev Pillai led Kerala Strikers at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Bangalore in the ongoing Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

With this crushing win, the Telugu Warriors are almost into the Semi Finals of the CCL 2012.

Medium pacer and Small screen hero Nandakishore picked up 4 wickets for just 9 runs in his four overs for the Tollywood team as Kerala Strikers asked to bat first were restricted to 94 for 9 in 20 overs. Nandakishore got the Man of the Match award. Another highlight was all-rounder Charan Teja bowling superb yorkers to pick up 3 for 14 for the Telugu Warriors.

Sachin Tendulkar is all set to miss the Bharat Ratna this year. The sports ministry has not recommended Sachin's name for the Bharat Ratna. The sports ministry did not forward Sachin's name as it had not received a recommendation from the BCCI proposing Sachin's name for the Bharat Ratna.

The Sports Ministry has forwarded Dhyanchand and Tenzing Norgay's name in the list.

The criteria for Bharat Ratna was recently broadened to include sports because of the huge demand. Infact, many politicians in Maharashtra have been pushing for a Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar, prompting Sports Minister Ajay Maken to write to the PMO. And the Home Ministry eventually giving its approval to include sports.

Kerala Strikers trounced Mumbai Heroes by 10 wickets, riding on an explosive 75 off 63 balls by Rajiv Pillai, to register their first win in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), on Sunday.

Back after their one-wicket loss to Chennai Rhinos at Hyderabad on Saturday in a nail-biting encounter, the home team did not disappoint the near-capacity crowd of 50,000 at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium.

Chasing 129, Rajiv Pillai and his opening parter Nivin Pauly (16 off 38 balls) helped Strikers romp home in just 16.5 overs.

An Australian fan of Sachin Tendulkar has named his son after the Indian batting maestro. Sachin Parker is just five and prefers to be called as Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He is the leading run-scorer and century maker in Test and one-day international cricket. He is also the first male player to score a double century in ODI cricket.

In 2002, just 12 years into his career, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one-day-international (ODI) batsman of all time, behind Viv Richards.

Sohail Khan's Mumbai Heroes won their first match of Celebrity Cricket League season 2 by 23 runs over the mighty Chennai Rhinos.

Mumbai Heroes won the toss and opted to bat first on a pitch that promised a cracker a match for those present at the night in Stadium.

After the festivities of Day 1 it was time for some serious cricket on day 2.

Cheered on by thousands of their fans in the Sharjah Cricket stadium on Saturday Mumbai Heroes were fully charged. After a nail-biting tie in the first game of the season this Friday at the same venue the team led by Suniel Shetty proved that they were not to be taken lightly this season.

Kangana Ranaut has an honest confession to make. The actress doesn't watch any cricket at all. Despite that, she's still the brand ambassador for Salman's Mumbai Warriors.

Talking about her new role she says, "Its the first time for me. But I am very excited. Its great to be able to promote and support a game like cricket."

When asked if Salman was involved in getting her on the table she says, "I have known him for a long time. Sohail also is a great friend and he was very keen on having me on board. I am quite thrilled in my new role."

How much cricket does she follow ? "I don't watch cricket at all. My brother watches soccer and cricket. But now I guess now I will get to learn a lot more."

Controversy - Beer party at Perth pitch before the 3rd Australia-India Test: Video

A controversy broke out late on Thursday after a TV Channel aired footage which showed ground-staff at the stadium in Perth sipping and drinking beer on the pitch only hours before India and Australia play the third cricket Test on it.

The footage showed three or four ground-staff sitting on the wicket with beer can and the Indian TV channel said it had acquired it through independent source.

The visuals showed some of the barefooted staff having accreditation card while there were others who did not have any card at all.

Senior BCCI functionary Rajiv Shukla said the Cricket Australia must look into the issue.
