Chennai Super Kings snatched a sensational five-wicket win in the very last ball against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a dramatic IPL match on Thursday.

With this win, Chennai moved to third spot in the IPL points table.

Chasing a stiff target of 206, Morkel blasted three sixes and two fours off the 19th over bowled by Virat Kohli as the hosts overhauled the target in the last ball to record the second highest run-chase in IPL history.

Faf du Plessis (71) and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (41) were the other notable scorers for Chennai who have now got their campaign back on track after two successive defeats.

Royal Challengers posted a daunting total of 205 for eight in 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Chepauk here Thursday.

Chris Gayle was top scorer for Royal Challengers with 68 off 35 balls while Australian import Doug Bollinger took three wickets for Super Kings giving away 24 runs.

Gayle's explosive innings resulted in Bangalore scoring the highest score so far in the current edition.

Chennai bowlers had no clue on how to stop Gayle as the Caribbean marauder clobbered them all over the park with six sixes and two fours in his 35-ball knock.

Kohli played sensibly, a second fiddle to Gayle, for his 46-ball knock, which was laced with five fours and two sixes.

IPL 2012 highlights: Delhi Dardevils vs Chennai Super Kings Part 2

Video highlights of Delhi Daredevils defeating Chennai Super Kings by eights wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in their first match at the Ferozeshah Kotla on Tuesday.

South African pacer Morne Morkel, who was also adjudged Man of the Match, was the pick of the Daredevils bowlers, bagging two for 19, while left-arm pacer Irfan Pathan picked up one for 25.

With the win, Daredevils jumped to the third spot in the points table with four points from three matches while Super Kings are sixth with just two points from three matches.

Thundershowers delayed the match by half-an-hour and local boy Sehwag had no doubt in opting to bowl as Super Kings scored their lowest total against the hosts.

Ajinkya Rahane and Kevon Cooper starred in Rajasthan Royals' 31-run win over Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday.

Rahane struck a classy 98 off 66 balls in Rajasthan's 191 for four and medium pacer Cooper picked up four wickets on IPL debut as Punjab ended at 160 for nine at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Rahane struck a classy 98 off 66 balls in Rajasthan's 191 for four and medium pacer Cooper picked up four wickets on IPL debut as Punjab ended at 160 for nine at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

The win was the home team's first under new captain Rahul Dravid, who took over from spin legend Shane Warne.

Punjab never looked like chasing down the target after being 61 for four in eight overs and the pressure kept on mounting on the batsmen with the asking rate going up steeply. Mandeep Singh top-scored with 34 while skipper Adam Gilchrist made 27 at the top of the order.

Richard Levi hit a 35-ball 50 to guide Mumbai Indians to an easy eight-wicket win over defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) opening match on Wednesday.

The South African, who smashed the fastest T20 century off 45 balls against New Zealand at Hamilton in February, cracked three sixes and six fours on his IPL debut as Mumbai surpassed Chennai's total of 112 with 19 balls to spare.

Levi, 24, put his team on course for victory with a 69-run stand for the first wicket with Sachin Tendulkar (16) in the Twenty20 tournament opener, watched by a sizeable crowd in Chennai.

Cricket brought two ex-couples close to each other, once again. At Mukesh Ambani’s lavish party for Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan and Aishwariya Rai were seen sitting on the row.

Ambani had held a party to celebrate Tendulkar’s 100 international centuries in his Peddar Road mansion. Aishwariya visited the party along with husband Abhishek Bachchan.

Salman made sure that everyone laughed when he spoke about Tendulkar, including the Bachchans.

He was caught looking at Abhishek once when the latter was talking to someone; however, he looked in the opposite direction when it came to Aishwariya.

Australia captian Michael Clarke’s girlfriend Kyly Boldy has been featured in Who magazine's annual Most Beautiful People issue.

The magazine also stars beauties Rachael Taylor, Liam and Chris Hemsworth, Stephanie Rice and Ryan Gosling. Interestingly, Lara Bingle, the ex flame of Clarke, has also made the cut.

Boldy, a 30-year-old former swimsuit model turned home decorator, told the publication that she feels at her most beautiful "in a hot bubble bath with lots of candles, some incense burning and some cool relaxing tunes playing."

"I love that... Beautiful comes in many forms, but for me it's the chance to relax and unwind," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying in Who magazine.

Ricky Ponting currently holds the record for most Test victories as captain with 48 wins.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday felicitated Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid for his outstanding contribution to Indian cricket.

Fighting back tears at a star-studded felicitation function, an emotional Dravid on Tuesday said that he had lived the dream of playing for his country for 16 years and was confident the future lot of players would take Indian cricket to greater heights.

Dravid said that he had made a pact with himself not to cry though he was "tested to the limits", in a function attended by a galaxy of former and current India cricketers, BCCI officials and other dignitaries.
