Gone are the days when players like Vijay Hazare and Vijay merchant used to be called the main stay of Indian Team. They were called like the wall of Indian Cricket in those days. The title has been given to Dravid in the current time. Rahul Dravid is perfect role model for the test matches. Every youngster should follow Rahul Dravid if he wants to make it big in test arena.
A special thanks to Anna Hazare to take away all the lime light away from cricket. People have not reacted as they might have had otherwise on the ‘White Washed’ series. Only one Indian company Jyoti Labs would have been proud to extend their tag Line to Indian Team. “India Char Boondo Wala” There was an interesting facebook status message from
The world champions were beaten comprehensively in the historical test @ Lords. All credit to English team who out played the Indians in every department.
It was a power packed performance by Kevin Pietersen who scored a double ton to see his side post a winning total on board followed by bowlers Jimmy Anderson, Chris Tremlett , Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann making sure they take 20 wickets to seal the victory for their side.
For the Indians “The Great Indian Wall” Rahul Dravid stood tall in 1st inning and scored a ton where he made his debut 15 years ago. The only setback for the team was injures both in the strike batting and bowling department.
Sehwag’s absence was clearly felt and Zaheer got injured while bowling
What better place to watch the 2000th test match than in Lords. Lords also known as Mecca of Cricket has witnessed ample number of historical moment and we will surely see more when India will face England in 1st test of the series at this ground. It’s the 125th year of Test Cricket. The first ever test match started in year 1877 which was played between England and Australia on 15th March 1877 at MCG. Australia won the first test by 45 runs. Interestingly the 100th test match was played between the same countries and again Australia was the winner with same margin 45 runs.
It’s going to be a Test match full of milestones as it will be 100th test match between the two countries. Out of these India has won 19, while

While it comes to cricket and even as one talk about Role Models, two names that would surface in the minds would be our Master Blaster Swashbuckling Mumbai Bomber
‘Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar’ and the Sultan of Swing ‘Wasim Akram’
As a youngster, any one would definitely look upon to the Master Blaster as a Role Model. He has played over two decades and still going strong...
His bat speaks for all, and it really speaks in tons and volumes. He does not have to show his aggression other than with his bat. A little grin of his and there goes the ball off the park when he smashes the bowler with utter disdain.
One has to really learn from him how to maintain that craftsman ship while playing and also how to handle stardom.
If some one were to wake me up at 2 am in the mid night and ask me to name one commentator, with out slightest of hesitation, Harsha would be the first name that will come out of my mouth. Some of the other names that would come while one talks about commentators (but not at mid night) would be Sunny Gavaskar, Shaz- Ravi Shastri, Wilko- Allan Wilkins, Waaz-Wasim Akram , Ian Chappel, Tony Greig and mums favorite boy Geoff Boycott.
Harsha A. Bhogle was born in Hyderabad, 19th July 1961 in Maharashtrian Konkanastha Brahmin family. Advertising was his first love. He graduated from IIM-Ahmedabad in 1985. His first commentary stint was a Ranji Trophy Match played between Hyderabad and Kerala, when he was just 19!!
Any guesses on
The king, the fighter is back to his courtyard. A change in the geographies of his location will not reflect a change in his demeanor. Yes we are talking about our very own Sourav Dada. The killer instinct is still there in him. He will be playing under Yuvraj Sing, yet another prince. Many people forget that Yuvraj has reached this level due to the backing and confidence shown in him by Ganguly. He was the one to bring about the change in the Indian team. He is a big shot player and once Rahul Dravid had quoted “ The next best person on the off side besides god is Sourav Ganguly”
Pune Warriors India have not been playing well and they are at the bottom of the chart. The inclusion at the later stage is not going to work
The possession of Orange and Purple cap clearly suggest that Mumbai Indians are going to taste the victory in the 4th Edition of IPL T20. The Mumbai Maestro is on a roll and seems to be enjoying every bit of cricket. At 38, he is all over the ground like a 18 year old kid. He is martial ling his recourses very well. Ambati Rayudu is the man to watch out, not only for IPL, but for the Test and ODIs as well. The gesture of the maestro of sharing the Man of the Match Award with him would have done a world of good to the youngster.
Just a week before the IPL, Malinga was the most hated Srilankan at the Wnkhede even as he took two crucial wickets including that of his IL captain. People were booing him and would have never
