Scott Styris blasted his way to a 38-run over and hit the third-fastest century in Twenty20 cricket as his Sussex side stunned Gloucestershire.
Styris reached 100 from just 37 balls, with 38 of his century coming from just one over.
In the 18th over of the innings, an over that started with two no-balls both of which found their way to the boundary, Styris launched a six to make it 16 runs from the first legitimate delivery.
Another six was followed by four runs. The bowler, James Fuller, did produce a dot ball but then a Styris hook dropped just short of the rope before the 37-year-old New Zealand all-rounder launched the last ball over long-on for six more.
Let's take a look back at the cricketing history being made on this day, May 24.
The cricketers who were born on this day are Ali Bacher, Bal Dani, Glen Hall and many more.
The batsmen who slammed centuries on this day are Ross Taylor, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Nasser Hussain, Michael Beven and Michael Atherton and many more.
The only five wicket haul taken on this day was by James Anderson.

Brad Hodge scored a half-century under immense pressure to eke out a four-wicket win for his side in a low scoring, nerve wrecking affair.
The Royals will now take on the Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens on Friday for a spot in the final.
Chasing a low total of 133, Rajasthan found themselves in a spot of bother at 57 for five. However, Hodge rescued his side with some counterattacking batting to keep his side in the game throughout.

The Chennai Super Kings managed to pull off a 48-run victory over the Mumbai Indians to reach their fifth final in six years. It was set up nicely by Michael Hussey and Suresh Raina's 140-run stand for the second wicket. Chennai posted 192/1 in their quota of 20 overs. Only one wicket fell, that of Murali Vijay picked by Kieron Pollard.
In reply, the Mumbai Indians fell short by 48-runs as a three-wicket haul for Ravindra Jadeja took his side home.
Sunrisers Hyderabad thronged into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 playoffs in their first season with a five-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders thanks to an 89-run first-wicket partnership between Shikhar Dhawan (42 off 35 balls) and Parthiv Patel (47 off 37 balls).
The Sunrisers thus ended the league stage of the tournament on 20 points, two ahead of fifth-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore, who were hoping for a Kolkata victory to sneak their way in.
Chasing a lowly 131 for victory was never going to be a daunting task, especially the way the two openers played. But a flurry of wickets in the latter half of the innings ensured a nail-biting finish, which was culminated with back-to-back sixes from the blade of
Bouyed by skipper Virat Kohli's quickfire half-century (56 not out off 29 balls) and a four-wicket haul by Zaheer Khan later on, Royal Challengers Bangalore kept their chances to make the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs alive as they cruised to a 24-run win in a rain-curtailed eight-over match against the Chennai Super Kings.
However, CSK did enough to ensure top spot in the points table on net run-rate, while RCB will have to wait for the result of Sunday's match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders to see if they have made it to the top four.
The match began a drenching three hours after the scheduled start, at 11 pm local time, after incessant rains. But the RCB batsmen rewarded the thousands who

Pathan became the first batsman in the Indian T20 league, and eighth overall, to be ruled out for obstructing the field.
Test cricket has seen only one batsman, Len Hutton, getting out in that fashion while four have so far have been ruled out in the ODIs - Pakistan's Mohammed Hafeez, Rameez Raja and Inzamam ul Haq and while India's Mohinder Amarnath. Ahmed Hayat, Chinthaka Perera and Adrian Barath are the other batsmen in domestic T20 to be ruled out in this fashion.
A video of Kieron Pollard’s 66 of 27-deliveries for Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Upto 16 overs, Sunrisers were the favourites to win. Mumbai needed 62 off the final four overs.
It was here Pollard took over. He smashed the last three balls of Thisara Perera for sixes. Perera conceded 29 off the 17th over. In the next over, Mishra was hit for three maximum hits by Pollard.
Pollard intelligently played out Dale Steyn’s penultimate over. When Mumbai needed seven to win off the last over, it took only three deliveries and two sixes for Pollard to finish off the game.

Chris Gayle struck the highest number of runs from an over of 32 in the brief history of the competition on his way to 61 from 30 balls, as WA, choosing to bat, amassed 205 for five from their allocation of 20 overs in the rain-affected match at Stadium Australia.
The left-handed opener gave a powerful reminder to the IPL franchise owners that have snubbed him at the players' auction in Bangalore, India, when he and Shaun Marsh marauded the NSW bowling in a rapid opening stand of 101.
Gayle failed to attract any interest from IPL bidders for a second straight day yesterday and is now unlikely to feature in the competition later this year.
He however, reserved special treatment for Scott Coyte, striking sixes over deep

Mumbai Indians consolidated their place in the play-offs of the IPL 2013 with a five-wicket win over the whipping boys Pune Warriors India.
Mumbai thus skipped over the Rajasthan Royals to second place in the points table, while Pune glued themselves to the bottom.
Chasing a lowly 113 for victory, Mumbai lost five wickets before eventually getting there. It wasn't the most convincing of wins, but good enough for the superstars of the IPL to tell the table-toppers, the Chennai Super Kings, that they aren't runaway favourites for the title.
