An ode to my favorite cricketer who retired recently.
The Wall
Its a game that's played with bat and ball
It requires tecnics that's not found in a bookstall
You can make it your career, its your call,
If you need inspiration just look up to the "Wall".
If you are in it for money, it will bring your downfall,
Shots can be flashy, it will surely enthrall.
Get out for a duck, you will not get a single eyeball,
Take the leather off the ball, now that's "The Wall".
The pitch may be flat or bouncy but wickets will fall,
Spending hours on the pitch, the ball looks like a football.
You may not recognise him if he walks past in the hall,
Putting a prize on his wicket, you got to go past the "Wall".

The T20 World Cup poem (complete one) written by me....
As the English team takes their flight,
The Sri Lankans party through the night.
The West Indies live to fight another day,
The Kiwis had spark but sadly lost their way.
Pakistan have to play out of their skin,
The formidable Aussies, they only play to win.
South Africa will look to play for their pride,
The Indians look to take a win in their stride.
The mighty Aussies look certain to win against Pakistan,
A resurgent West Indies will fight them in the semis with great élan.
The Indians hope to end the South African woes,
To take on Sri Lanka, their sub-continent foes.
West Indies will look to avenge their Group stage defeat,
The Aussies, they certainly
