Pakistan-based band ‘Junoon’s guitarist Salman Ahmad will accompany former cricketer and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) politician Imran Khan, in his peace march to protest against drone attacks, which have killed hundreds.

“I’ll be travelling with IK’s [Imran Khan’s] peace caravan to Waziristan,” Ahmad tweeted.

The guitarist tweeted after Imran’s declaration that he is not afraid of the Taliban and will carry on the peace march into Waziristan.

“A man of faith doesn’t fear death & a march for peace against drones that have destroyed millions of lives of Fata people is worth dying for,” Khan was quoted as saying by Zee News.

It was reported earlier that Imran received death threat from the Taliban if the former cricketer holds a planned march to the tribal areas along the Afghanistan border to protest the U.S. Drone attacks.

The Pakistani Taliban later clarified that they had not threatened to kill cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan if he holds a march to Waziristan, and blamed a Western news agency for falsely reporting the threat.
