Winning World Cup is a sign of triumph and considered to be the ultimate achievement in any cricketer’s career. For Archer Deepika Kumari winning an Olympic medal is nothing less than winning a world cup.

Expressing the desire to win a medal in the upcoming London Olympics she said, "Hope I can also achieve the ultimate goal in a sportsperson's life, winning an Olympic medal.”

Though the 18-year old athlete feels cricket and archery are completely different games, the dream of winning Olympic medal lures all athletes like winning a World Cup motivates cicketers.

She was quoted by IBN Live as saying, "Cricket and archery are two very different sports. But yes, like winning the World Cup is the ultimate dream of a cricketer, for us it's getting an Olympic medal. With the Lord's being the venue it would be a special moment."

Kumari also shared her experience of meeting the Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni who is a state-mate.

The archer said, "He is a great personality and his achievements speak for themselves. It feels great that we belong to the same place.

“It was a simple exchange of pleasantries. But it was a memorable experience.”
