Bollywood producer Prakash Chandnani was arrested on Thursday for his alleged connection with cricket betting. According to sources Chandnani is a big-time bookie and handles Chhota Shakeels’ betting syndicate.
He has co-producer film Gali Gali Chor Hai and early Thursday was arrested by the Ahmedabad immigration cell when he arrived from from Dubai. Authorities detained him when he was clearing the immigration cell at Ahmedabad. His name was on the lookout notice (LOC).
In May, the crime branch announced Chandnani and cricket bookie Sunil Abhay Chandani name on LOC in connection with cricket betting.
