The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a cash prize of Rs 200,000 for the U-19 team after their impressive performance in the Asia Cup.
The Pakistan U-19 team won the Asia Cup title jointly with India. Praising the team’s performance , PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf said, We are very proud of our young team’s performance and we are confident that it will continue the flow of its success in Jr World Cup being played next month in Australia.”
PCB credited board’s long term planning for the success of the U-19 team in the Asia Cup.
According to a report in Pakistan Observer, star batsman Sami Aslam was awarded an extra Rs 100,000 for his best performance in the tournament.
