North Devon Cricket Club in England is under a vigil of late due to serious theft recently when few crooks looted the club.
The committee members of the Barnstaple and Pilton Cricket Club have taken a call to patrol the grounds in turn at night, and also as a precautionary measure cancelled youth sessions over safety concerns.
Treasurer Janet Bowden was quoted by thisiscornwell as saying,"It's such a mess. Two sides of the building have been stripped of lead and cuts made all around the clock to get the lead out.
"Tiles have been ripped off and the building is open to the weather. Rain has been leaking through the garage and on the other side if you stand underneath you can see the sky. It's unbelievable."
Mrs Bowden added, "There are another few bits of lead on the roof and we are convinced they will come back for that."
