Karnataka Bulldozers and Chennai Rhinos feature in thrilling tie

What a match! This tied encounter between Karnataka Bulldozers and Chennai Rhinos has easily been the most thrilling match of this season's Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

In surreal scenes where the Bulldozers, batting second and chasing a mammoth 194 to win, required an improbable 14 off 2 balls, lower order batsman, Bhaskar hit two sixes, one of which was of a no-ball, and thus tied the scores.

The Bulldozers started off in great manner, keeping the required run rate in check. In fact, they never lost track of the run rate at any point of time in their innings. Before Bhaskar's late cameo, it was opener Pradeep's valuable contribution of 65 off 50 balls, aided by Dhruv's 38 that set the platform for the nail-biting chase.

The Chennai Rhinos will only have themselves to blame at the end of day. After all, to concede 22 extras in a T20 match can never help your cause. Fast bowler, Shiva went for 34 in his 2 overs.

Earlier in the day, after winning the toss, the Rhinos elected to bat and didn't disappoint the huge turnout at the Chinnaswamy Stadium with a huge first innings total of 193 for the loss of six wickets.

Opener Vikranth top-scored for the Rhinos with a 52 off 37 balls, and was well supported by Vishnu and Prithvi, who scored 48 and 46 respectively.

Brief scores:

Chennai Rhinos 193 for 6 in 20 overs (Vikranth 52, Vishnu 48; Mahesh 1 for 21, Bhaskar 2 for 19) tied with Karnataka Bulldozers 193 for 6 in 20 overs (Pradeeep 60, Bhaskar 20; Vikranth 2 for 20).
