I feel really sorry for the millions of Indian cricket fans for the result of IND-SA match. Winning or losing is part of any competition. However, losing from a winning position and surrendering meekly is somewhat a show of mockery. Just imagine losing 9 wickets for just 29 runs after a fantastic batting display by the trio-Sachin, Sehwag & Gauti. At one stage it looked like as if the men in blues would post a score of 400+. All the efforts put in by the trio had been dug down deep because of the pathetic batting display by the rest. And to take a special note of the Capitain himself. He's so lost confidence in his batting that he had to sacrifice the tails and expose them to a bowling attack which was in shambles when the trio were batting and allowed the Proteas to come back into the game. This is what he meant by the so called "pressure" he commented during one of his post match interview. The men in blues are expert in allowing pressure to mount on them and gift away their chances. They more or less now need a psychic coaching to overcome pressure.

There was one thing noted positive about the men in blues when they came to field. Their body language was positive and determined to fight it out ball by ball especially the way our master blaster was fielding. Not to leave out Kohli, Bhajji, Pathan or Yuvi. But again all this effort put went in vain just for that one last over of Nehra. The previous over bowled by Zaheer had almost scented victory in favour of Indians. Here again, the main culprit being the captain. Instead of using the inform spin bowlers, Bhaji or Pathan, he opted for Nehra who has never learnt to apply brains while bowling. Even Munaf bowls well in crucial slog overs. I don't seem to understand why Dhoni inducted an additional pace bowler instead of spinner Ashwin when everyone knows that the Proteas are weak players of spin.

Going by the way the men in blues are playing, it's a hard way for them to the final. The game spirit or killing instinct is lacking in them. If you have a retrospect view of their performance, they have not performed well as a team in their encounters with top playing nations. The teams got immense talent to win the cup. Howvever, the captain's role is very crucial from now on. It all depends on how he uses his talent to best use. All in all, team contribution is important to support the individual performance to acheve positive result. Application is the key.

The men in blues have lot of things still to learn as a team and not just depend on some individual brilliances. People say when the master blaster hits a century, the team India loses. The fact of the matter is that team has not learnt to capitalize on great contributions made by him towards Indian cricket. It's high time the team realizes this and pull up their socks and win the WC for him.
