Bollywood actress and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Shilpa Shetty is all set to deliver her first baby in May this year, which means cricket will take a backseat in the couple’s life for now.

While the Super Fight League (SFL) – hubby Raj Kundra and Sanjay Dutt’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event kicks off on March 11, the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 5 begins in April.

However, the couple intends to shift their focus from everything else to welcoming the new member in their family.

“I really want to get everything out of the way to enjoy time with my baby when he or she comes. I just want to be a father for some time, and not a businessman worrying about other things,” smiles Raj, adding that this will be the “most interesting period” of their lives. “It’s going to be a life-changing experience and we want to focus on it.”

The actress won’t be an active part of the IPL, for the first time ever, but will grace hubby’s event in Mumbai.

“Shilpa will come for the SFL’s March 11 event in Mumbai, but she won’t be able to move around too much. In fact, she won’t be able to attend many IPL fixtures since that would require her to travel,” he says, adding, “She doesn’t get as involved (in the matters of the IPL team) because it gets too violent for her. But when I come home in the evening, and have no one else to discuss things with, I ask her, ‘listen, what do you think about this idea or that initiative.’ And she, very sweetly, helps me with them. But I have bored her with lots of MMA talk.”
