India's disastrous performance in the ongoing Test series against Australia has had an adverse effect on the viewership of cricket in India with fans switching off from the game.

The back to back losses is not only reflecting poorly on the team's rankings but hurting the broadcasters as well. According to a sports viewership tracker, the first two tests played between India and Australia registered an average rating of 1.49 and 1.20 respectively.

India have lost the series 3-0 and worst two of them have been by an innings. The batting has come under intense scrutiny with all the greats failing to stamp their authority in the series.

No Indian batsmen has registered a hundred in this series and none of the matches has extended beyond the fourth day. The last two Tests ended on day three.
