England captains in all the formats of the game Andrew Strauss (Test), Alastair Cook (ODI) and Stuart Broad (T20) attended a charity event organised by Lord’s Taverners in Nottingham to encourage young kids from underprivileged background to take up cricket.
England women team captain Charlotte Edwards also part of the event feels that such activities will not just help develop young kids but also the development of the game at large.
Cook feels the events organised like the one at Lord’s Taverners will help them develop personality and better their lives.
The four national captains coached the young kids at the club and played cricket with them. Moreover, Test captain Strauss almost got his head knocked out by a beamer!
