Sir Frank Worrell was the first black man to lead West Indies regularly. He was born on August 1, 1924.

In this video, former West Indies skipper Brian Lara speaks about the West Indies legend.

Worrell lead West Indies to tour England in 1963, which the visitors won 3-1. There is also Sir Frank Worrell Trophy, for which West Indies and Australia play.

In 1950, Worrell hit an average of 89.83, scoring 539 during their tour of England. It was in this tour that he scored his best figures, 261, at Trent Bridge.

He was a senator of Jamaica when he passed away.
