After having put up a massive 181 in the allotted 20 overs with some clinical batting performance, Deccan Chargers looked for their third win of the season.

However, Bangalore Royal Challengers won the match with seven balls to spare

Bangalore's innings started brilliantly with both their openers- West Indian Chris Gayle and Sri Lankan Tilakaratne Dilshan taking RCb of to a flying start.

The match however turned with the arrival of South African AB de Villiers to the crease when he bludgeoned DC's bowling by scoring 47 runs in only 17 balls to take RCB home with a comfortable victory.

With this loss, Deccan Chargers remain at the bottom of the points table in this edition of IPL
