Commentary

That's all that we have for you today. Bye bye

Angelo Mathews: There was a little bit of pressure in the 1st Test. Herath has been unbelievable. He has been the man for us since Murali retired. We can still improve, there is a lot to learn. The Bangladeshis have played really good cricket in the recent past, but I never doubted my team.

Mushfiqur Rahim: If we look back, we did not do well in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test. We needed to back up some young players and give them motivation. The boys are playing really well, hopefully we can play more Tests. Nasir, Momimunl and Ashraful are the biggest positives. Its always tough to play against Sri Lanka.

Mushfiqur Rahim is the most valuable player of the series from Bangladesh

Kumar Sangakkara: There are no short-cuts in Test cricket. There is no secret, you have to put in a lot of hard-work and preparation. You have to make sure that for every match you have to be fully prepared. I just try and keep a tab on my hundreds. Sachin, Lara, Kallis and Ponting are the greatest. I just want the appreciation of the public. This was a tough Test for Angelo. Bangladesh will walk away from this series with a lot of confidence. They played really well. A lot of credit to their captain and bowlers.

Kumar Sangakkara is the Man of the Series.

Rangana Herath: I didn't know about the records, but I am really happy, to be honest. I dont mind where the ball goes. I knew the game was in our hand after we took those wickets today morning.

Rangana Herath is the Man of the Match.

Now for the presentation.

Handshakes all around. This is Angelo Mathews' first Test and series win as Sri Lanka captain. It was pretty obvious when Herath ran through the Bangladesh batting order today morning. Bangladesh have to be credited for putting up a far better fight than they ever have in their Test match history.
