Auckland vs Hampshire, CL T20,
Auckland won by 8 wktsInnings Comparison, Man of the match: A Mahmood
Commentary
That ends the first game, still there is another game tonight which will see Trinidad facing off against Yorkshire. Don't go too far for the toss will happen in a short while in that game. Do hop over to the other tab to follow all the action. Till next time, see ya!
Azhar Mahmood: 'Not a good start, yesterday first ball went for a six, but I varied my pace and I will take today's figures. Great bunch of guys we have and good to be in the main tournament. Working on a few things and hopefully we will do well in the tournament.'
No surprises who the MoM is - it is Azhar Mahmood for his 5-fer and unbeaten 55.
Hopkins: 'The boys must have been a bit surprised with that (on winning the toss). The boys bowled well, we made a quick adjustment. It was a good toss to win, little bit sticky and difficult to bat on at the beginning. I thought Guptill and Vincent gave us a good start, then finished off by Azhar who is a privilege playing for us. Playing the game last night certainly helped, there was a calmness after the win and the boys just carried on from there.'
Mascarenhas: 'It is a shame when the wicket dictates the whole game, the toss of the coin was very important. Carbs played very nicely, chance to get up to 140 at one stage, but we lost wickets at regular intervals. We were hoping that Auckland lose yesterday and we will get a double chance. They played well, good luck to them.'
It was the Azhar Mahmood show today. After taking a 5-fer (it could've been 6 if not for the dropped catch), he made an unbeaten 55, taking a special liking to Afridi. The Auckland side never looked in trouble and have coasted to the target with 33 balls still left. What's more they become the first team to qualify to the main tournament. There will be an inconsequential game between Hampshire and Sialkot tomorrow. Do stay tuned for the presentation.

14.3Glenn Maxwell to Azhar Mahmood
FOUR, All over! Fittingly Azhar Mahmood has finished it. Auckland qualify. Short and wide outside off, Azhar Mahmood cuts hard and wide of point - in the air, but in the gap as well. Mahmood punches his fist and embraces A Kitchen. A job well done.

no run, floaty full delivery on the stumps, Azhar Mahmood just about digs it out

13.6Shahid Afridi to Azhar Mahmood
SIX, Azhar Mahmood has killed off the game and he has taken a special liking to his ex-Pakistani mate. Kneels down and slog sweeps it flat over deep mid wicket. That's a special day for Mahmood - a fifty and a 5-fer in a T20 game - doesn't happen that often
50 runs for Azhar Mahmood

13.2Shahid Afridi to Azhar Mahmood
FOUR, that's poor stuff from the long off fielder. Didn't get the body behind the ball and allowed the ball to slip past. Another boundary to Azhar Mahmood
