Lions vs Mumbai Indians, Group T20,
Lions won by 8 wktsInnings Comparison, Man of the match: N McKenzie
Commentary
That ends the day - a bad day for the Indian teams. We've got a single header for you tomorrow - join us for that. Until then, bye bye!
McKenzie: 'Just enjoying my cricket. It's great playing for the Lions - the atmosphere was terrific. Quinton de Kock is an exceptional talent - he is one for the future. He did well in the U-19s. Mumbai is a great side, it's nice to win against them.'
McKenzie is the Man of the Match
Petersen: 'Pretty happy. They dominated the first 6 overs of the day but our left arm spinner got us back into the game. We had new challenges today - we defeated Mumbai the last time but it's a new day. Quinton de Kock is a good player - he hits the ball nice and sweet. McKenzie played like a young man too - he showed his experience today. We know what we have got and we know what sort of cricket we can play. When we play as a team, we can be dangerous. That's what we did today.'
Harbhajan Singh: 'The difference was that we didn't look to attack the spinners. It was a good cricketing wicket. McKenzie played superbly and the other youngster ( Quinton de Kock ) was superb too. Mitchell was the only left hander and we wanted him to go after the left arm spinner, but it didn't happen. Lions know the conditions better than us, we were 20 runs short but the credit should go to Lions. There was a bit of dew but no excuses - we didn't bowl well. We got a good start but McKenzie played the innings of his life'
157 was never going to be enough. It's tough to defend in this ground - the boundaries are small and the ball really travels. Bodi struggled at the top and increased the required rate, but McKenzie and Quinton de Kock put on a stunning partnership to take them home. McKenzie took his time initially but shifted gears towards the end, while Quinton de Kock was just a treat to watch. Nothing much to say about Mumbai's bowling - they were just outplayed.

18.4Lasith Malinga to Quinton de Kock
1 run, what's happening? The captain Harbhajan is showing his anger on the ball, but he has conceded an overthrow. This was driven to mid off - there was no run there and nobody ran, but Harbhajan fired in a wayward throw at the bowler's end. Result: 1 overthrow

18.2Lasith Malinga to Quinton de Kock
FOUR, he is having fun. Slower one again, de Kock comes on the frontfoot and lofts it inside out over extra cover for a boundary. What batting from the 19 year old!
