Commentary

That's it for the first game which sees Sydney become the first team to reach the semis this year. We have got another coming up which sees Mumbai taking on Yorkshire. Hop over to the other tab to follow all that. Until next time, see ya!

Mitchell Starc: 'Playing a lot of cricket and working on a few little things that need tinkering has helped me and the ball is coming out nicely. I like bowling at the death and it is a challenge I enjoy. We are all great mates [Pat and Hazle] and enjoying it out there.'

Mitchell Starc is the MoM for his 3/19

Haddin: 'Today was very good in patches and not so good at times. Pretty happy with the total to chase. I'm pretty lucky that I have got three good seamers, one had an off day. If all three [the seamers] fire, we will be very tough to beat. We have got cover for Watson and we wish him well. We are thinking about the semis now.'

Petersen: 'We had a good start, I though we played beautifully, just a couple of bad overs in the middle and in T20 it can change very quickly. He [Phangiso] is a very under-rated bowler, guys will look at him differently now.'

One felt that 137 wasn't enough for a strong Sydney side and it has proved so. Phangiso tried his best to pull it back after a strong opening stand, but Sydney were never in danger of losing. The job was completed by the middle-order. Lions still have a chance, if they beat Yorkshire in their next game. Do stay tuned for the presentation.

FOUR, Sydney are through to the semis of the competition. Right up there and Steven Smith bottom-hands an on-drive past the non-striker. It goes away to the fence at long on

18.5Sohail Tanvir to Steven Smith

2 runs, pulled wide of long on who makes a tumbling stop after running across. Just a single needed now

18.4Sohail Tanvir to Steven Smith

FOUR, that should bring them very close and it does so. Mid off was up and Steven Smith chipped out and lofted the slower delivery over the man

17.6Chris Morris to Nic Maddinson

no run, again kept low, Maddinson can't connect on the late cut. Good over from Morris, but still feel that Sydney's game to lose from here

Nic Maddinson, left handed bat, comes to the crease
