Commentary

Rajasthan won by 7 wkts | Rajasthan Royals Vs Mumbai Indians Live Score, Group A, T20 Match 1

That ends the first day of the World T20 League. Join us back for the double header tomorrow. Until then bye bye....
Rohit Sharma: 'I think it wasn't a par score. But there was something in the wicket. We didn't get early wickets. But that's fine. We needed to get more than 150. We've got to move on now. We go to Ahmedabad. We will try and do well there. Pollard batted really well. It is the first game and I am sure we will get better as we play. I am happy with my batting. I was striking the ball well. They bowled exceedingly really well.'
Vikramjeet Malik (Man of the Match): We have been playing here for 6 to 7 days. What I have observed was if you bowled at the right areas you will get help. It was a plan with Rahul bhai to pitch the ball up.
Rahul Dravid:'It was very professional performance by the boys. It was a good effort to restrict them for 142. Their was calmness with the run chase as well. The bowlers did well, we would have settled for 142 after sending them in. It was a good partnership between Rahane and Sanju, and Watto and Binny did well to finish it off.'
Sanju Samson: I enjoyed it. I prepared well yesterday and I am happy that I batted well. The ball came on nicely and I enjoyed it. I feel lucky to be playing for this team and at a very crucial number 3 position.
It has been a well paced run chase by Rajasthan. They opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Their bowlers responded well by restricting Mumbai to 142. Then their batsmen came out and batted sensibly, Samson scored a well compiled 54 and he was wll supported by the rest. Mumbai bowlers tried hard but just could not get the wickets at regular intervals. They missed the bowling of Malinga at the top and the end of overs.
19.4 Nathan Coulter-Nile to Stuart Binny 6
SIX, what a way to end the innings from Binny. This was short and outside off, Binny goes back and pulls it over the long on fence comfortably for a maximum
The field is up to save the single.
19.3 Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shane Watson 1
1 run, yorker length delivery just outside off, Watson squeezes it to Pollard at backward point, he misfields and allows the single. You don't expect that from Pollard
19.2 Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shane Watson 0
no run, bouncer this time on leg stump, Watson ducks under it and lets it go. Good bowling by Coulter-Nile
19.1 Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shane Watson 0
no run, Watson misses the full toss outside off, Coulter-Nile misses the yorker as it goes on the full, Watson backs away and misses it completely
Nathan Coulter-Nile [3.0-0-15-1] is back into the attack
End of over 19, 12 runs (4 1 1 4 1 1 )
JAI: 141/3
Shane Watson - 26(19) This over: 2 runs
Stuart Binny - 21(13) This over: 10 runs
Mitchell Johnson
(4.0 - 0 - 38 - 0)
18.6 Mitchell Johnson to Shane Watson 1
1 run, length delivery on the pads, Watson nudges it down to backward square leg and keeps strike for the final over
18.5 Mitchell Johnson to Stuart Binny 1
1 run, good length delivery outside off, Binny opens the face of the bat and runs it down to third man
18.4 Mitchell Johnson to Stuart Binny 4
FOUR, Johnson misses the yorker by couple of inches. That was enough for Binny to clear his front leg and drive it handsomely between extra cover and mid off for his second boundary of the over
