Commentary

Titans won by 8 wkts | Titans Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Live Score, Group B, T20 Match 12

With this win, the Titans have gone into the positives in the net run rate (NRAJ) column. In a tournament like this, the NRAJ could play a crucial role. We'll see how things pan out in the next game between Chennai and Brisbane. Join us back in a short while for toss and more. Bye!
Davids: 'It was really nice to get it right. We were looking down the barrel after the start they got but the bowlers pulled it back very nicely. We put them under a lot of pressure. We got few crucial wickets and we showed a lot of guts there out in the middle. I enjoyed playing today. I just gave myself a couple of balls before taking the attack to them and I am happy that it worked.'
Henry Davids is the Man of the Match.
Dhawan: 'We started off really well but the batsmen could not make any significant scores. We lost wickets at regular intervals as well and we ended up making a poor total even though Dale Steyn batted well in the last over. We couldn't play the short ball well. The domestic players need to perform and score big runs. We can't expect Perera and Sammy to push the score every game. We need to work a lot.'
Henry Davids could do nothing wrong from the toss. He called the right side of the coin and inserted Hyderabad in. Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel threatened to take the game away from the Titans with a fine opening stand, but the introduction David Wiese turned the game in favour of the South African side as he strangled the batsman with his change in pace and also picked up three crucial wickets. It took a last over blitz from Steyn to push the Hyderabad total to respectability. In reply, the Titans got off to a sensational start as the openers Davids and Rudolph put on over 100 runs. Dhawan ran out of ideas and eventually the Titans went on to win the game with 21 balls to spare.
16.3 Thisara Perera to Heino Kuhn 4
FOUR, a friendly full toss to help Kuhn finish the game in style and the batsman doesn't turn down the poffer. Waits for the ball and slogs its powerfully to the deep mid wicket fence. The Titans stay alive in the competition with this win
16.2 Thisara Perera to Jacques Rudolph 1
1 run, full and outside off stump, Rudolph softly drives it to long off
16.1 Thisara Perera to Heino Kuhn 1
1 run, advances and yorks himself to this slower delivery, but manages to dig it to long on
15.6 Dale Steyn to Jacques Rudolph 0
no run, foxes the batsman with a slower delivery outside off stump, Rudolph doesn't make contact as he tries to squeeze
15.5 Dale Steyn to Jacques Rudolph 0
no run, Steyn bangs this short and follows Rudolph as he makes room, the batsman tries to upper cut but misses
15.4 Dale Steyn to Heino Kuhn 1
1 run, slower ball on the stumps, Kuhn turns it to short mid wicket and gets off strike
15.3 Dale Steyn to Heino Kuhn 6
SIX, a big smile on Kuhn's face. He's just smashed the world's best fast bowler for a maximum. Short delivery on the stumps, Kuhn pulls it really hard and clears the deep mid-wicket fence
15.2 Dale Steyn to Heino Kuhn 0
no run, hurries Kuhn with a short of length delivery on the stumps, the batsman tries to work it on the on-side but is hit high on the thigh pad
15.1 Dale Steyn to Jacques Rudolph 1
1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Rudolph punches it point who dives to his left and palms it to sweeper cover
Dale Steyn [3.0-0-15-1] is back into the attack
