Commentary

Trinidad and Tobago won by 25 runs | Brisbane Vs Trinidad and Tobago Live Score, Group B, T20 Match 2

That ends the first game of the day. Join us for the toss and team news of the second game in a few minutes.
Denesh Ramdin is the Man of the Match, he says, 'It was a good victory in the end. We were 10 to 15 runs short. Rampaul and Badree got us off to a good start with the ball. We have Narine in our ranks, so if we get a good start with the ball then he can come in and gets us wickets in the end. Lewis was looking good but got out at a wrong time. Hopefully it is just a one off day with the batting.'
Ravi Rampaul: I am happy with my performance. I mix-up my pace to make life difficult for the batsman. Hopefully I will continue to do well. T&T is known for the never say die attitude. We fight till the last ball and it worked well for us today.
James Hopes: 'We bowled and fielded very well. But we didn't bat well, we should have been more positive and should have chased that down. We have been here for a week so we are used the conditions, we'll improve. There are three more games left for us. Yes Haurtiz bowled really well.'
It has been a very clinical performance by the Trinidad team. After being sent in to bat, they lost early wickets and thanks to a gritty 48 by their captain Ramdin got to 135. The bowlers responded magnificently to defend the low score and bowling out the opposition under 20 overs. Rampaul was the pick of the bowlers with four and he was well supported by the rest. For Brisbane, they never really got going Burns was the only batsman to make a decent contribution. The rest of the batting failed.
