Commentary

That's all we have for you tonight. Do join us tomorrow for the first T20 between South Africa and New Zealand. Goodbye and goodnight

Yuvraj Singh: 'When it comes to T20s I just want to express myself. I just tried to bowl it a bit slowly. I told that to the other bowlers as well. Chasing was a good idea because of the dew. Last game of the Ranji Trophy I did well. I knew I was batting well. I don't need a break and need to train harder.'

Yuvraj Singh is the Man of the Match

MS Dhoni: 'The pressure was on the bowlers. We all know that with the new ball it is easy to score in the subcontinent. The game changes after the 8th or 9th over. Yuvraj was brilliant. The fielding was good. I was a bit worried at the start, they were scoring easily. Ashwin bowled well in the first three overs. Each and every bowler apart from Yuvraj bowled at least one bad over. Rahane gave us a good start. When Yuvraj went in, it was important that he scored a few runs. We have done quite well in the shorter formats, but it's more about the longer formats. Dinda did well, but we need to improve the death bowling.'

Morgan: 'We were disappointed with our batting. Our middle order failed to click. The positivity wasn't there. We continually lost wickets. The start we got, we could have gotten a good score. We always thought we were in the game. The young side showed a lot of promise.'

Raina: 'I think we had a good start. The openers batted well. Virat and Yuvraj batted well. Me and MS did a good finishing job. We wanted to win the toss and field as we thought the dew would make a difference. Dinda bowled well in the death overs.'

England were never in the game after they lost a flurry of wickets post a strong start. On a batting paradise a score well in excess of 180 runs was required. The fact that India's batsmen came out attacking made things difficult for them as well. Yuvraj Singh dazzled with an all-round performance and should surely be the Man of the Match. In retrospect, England will feel that they were about 20 runs short and bowled one wide too many.

17.3Stuart Meaker to MS Dhoni

no run, really short delivery outside off, Dhoni spotted the speed early and tried to pull it into the ground in front of square, but got an under edge which dropped short of the keeper

17.2Stuart Meaker to MS Dhoni

FOUR, short of length delivery on middle, Dhoni stays back and swivels to play a thumping pull to the deep backward square leg fence. Just one shot away from a win.

Ravindra Jadeja, left handed bat, comes to the crease

out Raina Run Out!! They were taking a bit too many risks. Length delivery on middle, Dhoni pushed it towards mid off. He called for a run, Raina responded, but the brilliant Morgan ran in from cover and put in a slide. He sent in a direct hit at the non-striker end and Raina was nowhere close to the crease. Raina is disappointed and so is Dhoni. Raina run out (Eoin Morgan) 26(19) [4s-1 6s-1]
5 wickets down for IND. Out batsman is Suresh Raina

Stuart Meaker [3.0-0-18-1] is back into the attack
