India vs England, 3rd ODI, England tour of India 2012-13

Commentary

India won by 7 wkts | India Vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI

That's all we have for you today. Hope you enjoyed the game as much as we did. Do hop tabs to follow a clutch of other games happening. Cheers and goodbye for now.
Kohli: 'I was batting well for a while. I got out to a few good balls, made a few mistakes earlier. I kept a positive mind frame and I was just following my instinct today. I decided to be positive and once you get a few boundaries, you start to feel good. It was a hard wicket. Finn was getting some seam movement but you just had to apply yourself. The crowd support was brilliant today. It was a great atmosphere in the middle. We put a lot of effort in our fielding and we make it a point to try and save at least 10-15 runs. We take a lot of pride in that.'
Virat Kohli is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 77.
Dhoni: 'I think the bowlers did the job of us. Once the seamers were off, the spinners contributed well. Gautam batted really well along with Kohli. Overall a very good performance. We are gelling well as a team. Ashwin is experienced, Ishant has come back in. Bhuvi and Shami have just come in. It would give them a lot of confidence. I was happy to contribute, Yuvi would hit me for saying that. The people were fabulous. The facilities were excellent. The crowd was superb everywhere. It was just the perfect script. We're not sure what will happen in Dharamshala. We need to do well in the next game.'
Cook: '150 was nowhere near enough on that track. Credit to India. They put a lot of pressure on us. We did not get out to many attacking shots. That's a bit of a concern. We've played well below our potential in the last two games. We needed a freak result to win this one after getting just 155. We're still in the series. We have to look deep and produce a better result at Mohali.'
It was never expected to be a difficult chase and the batsmen proved it right. Gambhir hung around scratchily for a while before throwing his wicket away. Virat Kohli however guided the chase along in sublime fashion. With Yuvraj for company, the duo pummelled England down to the ground before the Indian skipper took center-stage to finish things off.
Virat Kohli, the man unbeaten on 77, takes the backseat as the duo walk out. Dhoni waves to the crowd that goes louder and louder. This is India's biggest win against England in terms of balls remaining (131). That is an indicator of how thoroughly dominant the Indians were today. The bowlers started it all off after Dhoni chose to bowl. They combined splendidly to restrict England to just 155.

FOUR, Dhoni finishes it in great style. The short delivery from Finn. Dhoni rocks back and pulls it very, very hard to the square leg fence. Quite a fitting end to a match that was built up around the hometown hero. More importantly, that means India go 2-1 up in the series.
Change of bat again for the Indian skipper.
