Well that brings an end to our coverage as well. It was a pleasure bringing the games to you. Do join us for all upcoming games as well. Cheers and goodbye for now.
Surprise, surprise! Duncan Fletcher has a wide smile on his face as well as the support staff follows the team in the victory lap.
The team walks around the ground to pay tribute to the Indian supporters across the ground.
Kohli jumps out to do a neat imitation of Gayle's celebration after the T20 World Cup.
MS Dhoni walks up to collect the trophy and then hands it over to Dhawan as the celebrations beign. The Champagne begins to flow as well.
MS Dhoni: 'Most of them have got exposure of international cricket. The youngsters who have come in have played a lot of domestic cricket as well as the IPL. The little shower helped us. The ball began to grip after that. The first and foremost thing I told them was, don't look up. The gods will not come to save you. We are the No 1 ranked team and we have to fight it out. I wanted them to slog off the spinners and wanted to make them do it. I think it really worked for us. People talk a lot about technique but I think the better players are the ones that respond well to pressure. Rohit and Dhawan gave us a lot of good starts. It's been a cultural change. We never had this kind of fields to dive. It's been a big change of Indian cricket. Credit to the BCCI to build the infrastructure. For me, what's important is how I play the next game. We go to West Indies and I want to do well. We have the right team to take Indian cricket forward.'
Dhawan: 'I'm loving this tournament. I dreamt this before the tournament. I'm really happy about it. I worked hard in practice and in the warm up games. I was out of the Indian team for a couple of years. I worked hard to come back and I'm very happy now. I was a little sad when I was out but I sorted myself out. I love batting with Rohit. I love watching his classy shots. The moustache will stay. It's an Indian thing I do it for the crowd. This award is dedicated to all the people back in Uttarakhand who are suffering due to the floods. My prayers are with them.'
Dhawan walks up to pick up the golden bat for being the highest run-scorer in the tournament.
He picks up the golden ball award too for the most wickets in the tournament.
Jadeja: 'I think I did very well throughout the tournament. I was very positive. I was fully prepared when I came to England. The wicket was a bit slow. It was difficult to rotate strike. Me and Virat wanted to build a partnership. I was enjoying bowling on this pitch. The ball was gripping. Skipper is always backing me.'
Ravindra Jadeja is the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Alastair Cook: 'Credit to the ground staff to help us get a game. It's tough to take it at this moment. I think the pitch was quite hard to bat on. Both sides found it. I'm proud of the way the lads played in this tournament. We just fell a little short today. That pitch turned quite a lot towards the end. Credit to the way the Indians bowled. This has been a bit of an away game for us. We wanted to play the game and we just came short. There are a lot of good performances that we will look back with pride. Hopefully, in 2015, we can learn from this.'
Here's a quick stat wrap up:
