Commentary

Sri Lanka Women won by 138 runs | India Women Vs Sri Lanka Women Live Score, 12th Match, Group A

So that's it from us for this game. See you on another day, take care and good bye!!
Deepika is the player of the match
Siriwardene: 'Very proud. Everything went as per plan so I'm very happy. 282 was not chaseable under lights so it was a good effort from the batters. Deepika played at number 3, she used to play down the order so that was a good move from the management. I'm really happy to qualify.'
Mithali Raj: 'Well I can sum it up and say that we're very very disappointed. It's been a sad end to the tournament for us. We were not good enough today and were completely outplayed. Congrats to Sri Lanka for advancing to the next round. The England game was very crucial for us but we couldn't do well there. After 1997, this was a great opportunity for India to do well in front of the home crowd. I'm very disappointed. Honestly, I didn't expect them to score 280. I thought they would get to 240-250 but they got more than that. We didn't get a good start in the chase. Myself and Kamini were involved in a small partnerhsip but I lost my wicket at the wrong time. I find good promise in Kamini, Kaur. These are positives for India.'
Sri Lanka complete a massive win. India were never really meaning business at the CCI with the bat today. Wickets at regular intervals added to their woes and they completely succumbed to pressure and were bundled out for a really poor score. So that takes Sri Lanka through to the Super 6s alongside England from Group A. Stay tuned for the presentation.
