Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Pune Warriors India, 31st T20 Match IPL 2013

Commentary

Bangalore won by 130 runs | Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Pune Warriors India Live Score, 31st Match

Gayle: 'I knew that if I stayed till the end, we could get a big score. We did slow down a bit on occasions, but Dilshan played well. I can't say when I will start hitting, I like that to be a surprise. My highest T20 score is 198 and I wanted to surpass that. I am sure the crowd loved the Gangnam style. We all had fun.'
Kohli: 'I am speechless (when asked about Gayle's innings). I cannot ask for anything more as a captain. Everyone in this stadium should be honored that they got to see one of the best innings ever. I told my bowlers to target 160-170 as this was our best chance of boosting our Net Run Rate. After today's knock we don't mind playing anywhere in India. Other teams should look out for us. '
Finch: 'That was a pretty special innings from Gayle. No boundary is big enough for him. When you see balls flying over your head, it doesn't do much for your confidence. It was just one of the days for Chris, you just couldn't stop him. '
That's all for now from here. Hop tabs for the other game of the night.
Well that ends an absolutely thumping victory for Bangalore. This is the 2nd biggest victory in terms of runs in the Indian T20 league. It was a complete one man show though. Gayle's once-in-a-lifetime knock simple blew Pune away. The chase never got going at any point of time.
