Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders, 38th T20 Match IPL 2013

Commentary

Chennai won by 14 runs | Chennai Super Kings Vs Kolkata Knight Riders Live Score, 38th Match

That's all we have here for you for now. Hop tabs for the other game tonight. Cheers.
Michael Hussey: 'I have missed out plenty of times in my career but I am in good form. Credit goes to Kolkata for fighting it out but we held our nerve. The conditions are tough. I have played in hotter conditions before in Chennai. Our plan is to reach the semi-finals and we hope we do not have a lull at this stage of the tournament.'
Michael Hussey is the MoM for his 95
MS Dhoni: 'We bowled a couple of bad overs. There was not much thinking behind that as the bowlers did not bowl according to the field set. We need to improve in our bowling. Michael Hussey played well. Mohit Sharma was brilliant and he got his four overs through. Fielding is one area that we need to work on. Steve Rixon should pull the hair out of the person who misfields but he puts in a lot of work.
Gambhir: 'There is no shame in playing away. We can take a lot of positives from this match. It depends on the surface but this wicket was flat. We wanted to contain them to 180-185. We still need to work in our bowling but our batting looks good. The ball comes on nicely under lights and this pitch started getting better as the game progresses.'
Well, it seems like away captains are going to be booed in this edition of the tournament. When Gambhir walked towards the presentation, he was roundly booed by the Chennai fans.
Muted celebrations from Chennai. This match saw a lot of good batting interspersed with poor bowling and catching. Chennai were guilty of dropping a few easy catches. Kolkata never managed to keep the momentum going throughout the chase. It was a stop-start effort right through. They were carried in large part by Manvinder Bisla's 92. His run out knocked the stuffing out of the chase. Morgan failed to deliver the big hits when it mattered the most, despite hitting a few before.
End of over 20, runs (. 1 1 . 1 1 )

(3.0 - 0 - 30 - 1)
19.6 Chris Morris to Yusuf Pathan 1
1 run, Morris finishes with another yorker. Pathan swings it down to long on for one. Just 4 came off that final over.
19.5 Chris Morris to Eoin Morgan 1
1 run, Morris's tremendous bowling at the death continues. Right in the blockhole from round the wicket. Morgan can only jam it on the offside
19.4 Chris Morris to Eoin Morgan 0
no run, Morris keeps it full and outside off, Morgan dances down the track and swings out but does not connect. The game should be in the bag for Chennai now. The players are not celebrating but the crowd goes berserk
Kolkata need 3 sixes off the last 3 now. Extras will help their cause. Bravo runs up to have a chat with Morris.
19.3 Chris Morris to Yusuf Pathan 1
1 run, terrific bowling again from Morris. He keeps it full and well outside off, Pathan reaches out and jams it out to long off
19.2 Chris Morris to Eoin Morgan 1
1 run, slow and full from round the wicket, Morgan can only hit it along the ground to deep mid wicket. Just a single. Pathan was not ready for that 2nd run
19.1 Chris Morris to Eoin Morgan 0
no run, excellent delivery to start off
Chris Morris [2.0-0-25-1] is back into the attack
