Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab, 45th T20 Match IPL 2013

Commentary

Chennai won by 15 runs | Chennai Super Kings Vs Kings XI Punjab Live Score, 45th Match

That's all that we have for you from this game. Hop over to the other tab for the Bangalore vs Pune game.
Suresh Raina: 'It feels amazing when you win the game. I need to play till the last ball, its great when you deliver when the team needs. 180 target is still not great on this track. Credit goes to the bowlers. Even if you score 180, then its important that the bowlers do well. I was hitting the ball really well and was spending a lot of time with Hussey and Dhoni.'
Suresh Raina is the Man of the Match.
MS Dhoni: 'Still we have not yet performed as well as we did in the 4th edition. Good thing we are getting better with each game. When you are in the top 2 everyone will want to catch up with you. That's when you need to do well. We did really well, initially the wicket was on the slower side. Except the tactical error of bringing in Raina, I was happy with the bowling. I think the performance was really great, Bravo at the end brought us in the game. It's important to let fast bowlers finish their overs if they are bowling well. If you bring them back at the end they are bound to go for runs. Its the dressing room atmosphere which has helped us. We try to treat everyone as family. Our owners know the cricket really well and they have been supporting cricket for a long time. What's important is that we enjoy each other's success
David Hussey: 'We let it go in the last 3 overs with tbe ball. Our batsmen played really well especially Miller and Marsh. We have got 5-6 games to go and we will want to win all of them. I thought our bowlers up front were outstanding. We have won only 1 game from the 4 games on the road. Looking forward to the home leg.
Kudos to Punjab acutally. They put in a brave fight just like they did in the match against Mumbai, but came up against a spirited Dwayne Bravo (who now is the highest wicket-taker in this edition) with the ball. Miller is turning out to be a finishing expert and Punjab will be very happy with Marsh's knock. But at the end of the day, Chennai played like champions and the star of the show was centurion Suresh Raina. The following tweet sums it up very well. Tweet via @cricms: Chennai have an incredible quality to give false hopes to their opposition before killing those hopes brutally.
