Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders, 53rd T20 Match IPL 2013

Mumbai won by 65 runs | Mumbai Indians Vs Kolkata Knight Riders Live Score, 53rd Match

That is all from us here. The race for the knock-out stages gets a lot more interesting with Hyderabad taking on Chennai tomorrow. Until then, Bye Bye!
Presentation Ceremony:
Tendulkar: 'If you look at the whole season, I have not been able to spend much time in the middle. Whatever time I have spent, I have batted aggressively. There is some help for the seamers but I had to be aggressive. Today was one of the days when I was striking the ball well and I was aggressive. It is not one-way traffic where I give advice and one just keeps on absorbing it. I have learnt a lot from the other guys. The more we discuss, the more I can learn. The passion for the game is still there and I enjoy myself out on the field.'
Sachin Tendulkar is the MoM for his knock of 48.
Rohit Sharma: 'I am enjoying my captaincy and it has been going well. I do not want to relax and there are four games to go. We are not going to take it easy this time around. Tendulkar does not need any advice and he is experienced. He gave us the right start.'
Gambhir: 'I do not if it is a jinx. If we do not play smart cricket, we are bound to lose. We did not play smart cricket. Every game is a new game and we will be looking for the win. We have four games to go and we will try and win all the games. I do not know if we have to change the batting line-up. We have done well with whatever we have.'
Stat Alert: Mumbai become the first team to notch up 10 wins against an opposition in the Indian T20 League. They have now defeated Kolkata 10 times in 12 matches in this tournament.
Mitchell Johnson: 'We are making it hard for the other teams coming here. This was our basic plan at the start of the tournament. I have been enjoying myself in this tournament. This pitch has some grass and I enjoy bowling here. In an ODI or Test, when the ball reverses a touch, I like to come round the wicket. I tried it against Rajasthan but it did not work well. Fatherhood is working well for me.'
This has been a clinical victory for Mumbai. The top order were rattled by the swing and pace of Johnson. Gambhir departed for a duck and the rest of the middle order floundered against some wonderful bowling. Harbhajan picked up three wickets and Mumbai have won all six of their home games now. For Kolkata, only some mathematical miracle can keep them in contention for the knock-outs.

no run, short and pacy bouncer just outside off, Balaji arches his back and leaves it
Lakshmipathy Balaji, right handed bat, comes to the crease
17.4 Mitchell Johnson to Sunil Narine W
out Caught by Dinesh Karthik!! Short and pacy delivery just outside off, Narine makes room and looks to slash the cut over point, ends up getting a faint bottom edge that is snapped up by Karthik, the keeper pointed out that Narine had edged it, there was no appeal whatsoever from Johnson and he belatedly appeals, the umpire sends Narine on the way. Narine c Dinesh Karthik b Mitchell Johnson 3(6)
