Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings, 54th T20 Match IPL 2013

Commentary

Chennai won by 77 runs | Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Chennai Super Kings Live Score, 54th Match

That's about everything we have for you today. Two games coming up tomorrow. Do join us for that. Cheers and goodbye for now.
Raina: 'It has been good. God has been good. It's the best feeling to win games. I've been doing a lot of hard work with the physio. It's all in the mind. I'm enjoying playing. Fleming has been very dedicated with the Indian guys and has been very helpful to us.'
Raina is the Man of the Match.
Dhoni: 'Nothing worked for us in the last game. Raina was unlucky not to get a 100 but was lucky to get 99. We never played in the last game. We had to discard that. We had won 7 games in a row before that. The loss was a wake up call for all of us. Hussey is among the few cricketers who does not change his game in various formats. He does not play a lot of cross batted shots. The only other one doing that is Rahul Dravid. All the captains know that we get the Nayi Soch award. Now that I know captains get it for field placements, I might do some deliberately next time. We're still worried about our bowling department. The next few games gives us a chance to test out our resources. It's important we play well at the qualifiers.'
Sangakkara: 'They batted very well. The wicket was pretty good for batting. We did not execute our plans well. Steyn bowled the right lengths throughout. The others were not there. All credit to Suresh and Hussey. We know it's a bad performance. We can't dwell on this one. The bowling unit has had a fantastic tournament. Today was an off day. '
Vijay: 'Hats off to Suresh Raina. He played superbly. It was fantastic playing on this ground. I love playing here. I wanted to stay on the wicket for a while and capitalise. The wicket was slow and we wanted to go at 6-7 runs in the initial overs. It worked our way.'
This is Hyderabad's first loss at home this season. A dominant Chennai were merciless. They posted a mammoth score upfront and that itself had knocked the stuffing out of Hyderabad. The chase never got going after Dhawan's run out early on. Parthiv fought on gamely while wickets tumbled at the other end. In the end, it was left to Karan Sharma to help them bat through the 20 overs. Hyderabad's loss is bound to affect their all important net run rate as well.
End of over 20, 12 runs (1 1 1 6 W wd 2 )

out Caught by J Holder!! Dug in short by Morris, Steyn backs away and tries a wild slog but miscues it. It pops up straight down the ground and Holder moves across from mid off to take it easily. Steyn c J Holder b Morris 14(13) [4s-1 6s-1]
19.4 Chris Morris to Dale Steyn 6
SIX, slower one on the middle and leg, Steyn gets under this nicely and lofts it handsomely over the mid wicket fence
19.3 Chris Morris to Karan Sharma 1
1 run, very full and on the middle and leg from round the wicket, Sharma flicks it to mid wicket for just one
19.2 Chris Morris to Dale Steyn 1
1 run, Steyn gives up running but Holder misses a direct hit. Steyn had driven this very hard to mid off and had very little chance of completing the single. Fortunately for him, Holder misses
