Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals, 68th T20 Match IPL 2013

Commentary

Hyderabad won by 23 runs | Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Rajasthan Royals Live Score, 68th Match

That is all from us here. Join us for the double header tomorrow as Mumbai take on Punjab in Dharamsala. The second match, however, is a huge one. Bangalore take on Chennai in what will be a must-win game for Bangalore. See you!
Presentation Ceremony:
Mishra: 'The team is doing very well. I would like to thank the Hyderabad crowd for their support. This has really galvanized us. The coach talks with me and I get a lot of confidence. I am working hard on my bowling since my injury. I am trying to take wickets at regular intervals and I bowl according to the situation.'
Amit Mishra is the MoM for his spell of 4-0-8-2.
White: 'It was not smooth sailing. We fought hard and we held our nerve. We knew that 140 was a defendable target on this wicket. The guys bowled superbly and we fielded well. This was a must-win game for us and credit to the team for keeping calm.'
Dravid: 'We showed some great intensity in the field. On this wicket, we were probably a spinner short. Faulkner was amazing. Credit to Hyderabad for the way they fought back. They have the bowlers for this condition and Mishra was fantastic. We have struggled on slow wickets and we have possibly not had the resources. I hope that the wickets are better in the play-offs.'
The top two have been decided thanks to this result. Mumbai and Chennai have finished in the top two and they will play the first qualifier.
On a sluggish pitch, Rahane and Dravid failed to get going. When Dravid was run-out, the pressure mounted. For a period of five overs, Rajasthan hardly got going with Mishra and Karan Sharma bowling well. Watson failed to play aggressively and the rest of the batting order floundered. The Hyderabad bowlers bowled with discipline and this win has kept the fight for the fourth and final spot alive.
Samantray: 'I am very happy to play with the top players in the team. I am extremely happy that my knock helped the team win. We know the wicket well and it was a slow wicket. I planned my innings accordingly. I do not prefer to bat in the lower-middle order but Rajasthan bowled well at the start.'
Thanks to Hyderabad's win, Punjab have now been eliminated. Bangalore's path to the knock-outs has now gotten a bit more harder. They will have to win their last match against Chennai tomorrow and then they have to hope that Hyderabad lose their last match to Kolkata on Sunday as Hyderabad's Net Run-Rate is still pretty poor.

Siddharth Trivedi, right handed bat, comes to the crease

out Caught by Samantray!! Cooper's cameo has ended. Short delivery and rising up outside off, Cooper again makes room and ends up slicing the cut to sweeper cover, Samantray gobbles it up easily. Kevon Cooper c Samantray b Steyn 26(12) [4s-3 6s-1]
19.3 Dale Steyn to Kevon Cooper 4
