Commentary

Punjab won by 6 wkts | Chennai Super Kings Vs Kings XI Punjab Live Score, 3rd T20 Match

That winds up things for the first game. Hope you enjoyed it. The next game is just about to start and we will have all the action from that. Just hop tabs to follow all the action...
Maxwell: 'I'm right-handed, don't worry about that (when asked whether he was right-handed or left-handed). I try to manipulate the field as much as I can, it worked out today. Chennai are an amazing team, it was nice to chase it down. Hopefully we will keep up the form.'
Maxwell is the Man of the Match for his 43-ball 95. The knock included 15 fours and 2 sixes.
Bailey: 'You got to be positive. 206 I thought was okay, we pulled it back reasonably well. Maxi was extra-ordinary, it won't happen too often, but we hope it does happen.'
MS Dhoni : 'It was a fantastic wicket. It remained same throughout the innings. They batted well. We could have done better with the ball. Bravo was not to fit to bowl in the innings anyway. We played him as a batsman. They took the risks and it was fruitful for them. We have to bowl in the right areas. Even if you miss the target by an inch, you will go for runs. There was not much spin. It was tough for the bowlers. It was up to the batsmen. We scored 200. They played better and scored 206.'
Though he fell 5 short of a well-deserved ton, Bailey and Miller completed the job. A smashing chase from Punjab and Chennai have to rethink their bowling strategy for their upcoming games. Do stay tuned for the post-match presentation...
What a chase by Punjab. They have done it with still 7 balls remaining. It didn't look like they would do it if you looked at the score after the first 6 overs. But they have a man called Maxwell in their ranks - he completely changed the course of the game with a power-packed innings. He set the tone first ball, by reverse-sweeping Ashwin to the fence. Once he got his unorthodox strokes going, there was no stopping him. Pretty poor bowling from Chennai helped him largely, they were guilty of bowling a very leg-stump line, which helped his hitting in his strong area.
End of over 19, 16 runs (1 1 2 4 4 4 )
MOH: 206/4
George Bailey - 17(10) This over: 15 runs
David Miller - 54(37) This over: 1 runs
Mohit Sharma
(2.5 - 0 - 35 - 0)
18.5 Mohit Sharma to George Bailey 4
FOUR, Punjab have done it! Zinta is jumping up and down in delight. Short delivery and Bailey pulls it handsomely to the deep midwicket fence. One bounce and over. Bailey and D Miller exchange a hug and the smiles follow.
18.4 Mohit Sharma to George Bailey 4
FOUR, Mohit Sharma missed the yorker and Bailey thumps it over wide long-on, one bounce over the ropes and that will do for Punjab, just a hit away from winning this
200 runs for MOH
18.3 Mohit Sharma to George Bailey 2
2 runs, mistimes the slog wide of Ash, who ambles after it like a snail and they spot that chance to come back for the 2nd
18.2 Mohit Sharma to David Miller 1
1 run, low full toss outside off, Miller toe-ends the slice to third man, who is back
18.1 Mohit Sharma to George Bailey 1
1 run, slower delivery outside off, Bailey flat-bats it to long-off. Only a single
Mohit Sharma [2.0-0-23-0] is back into the attack
End of over 18, 4 runs (1 1 1 . 1 . )
MOH: 194/4
David Miller - 53(36) This over: 2 runs
George Bailey - 6(6) This over: 2 runs
Ashish Nehra
(3.0 - 0 - 24 - 1)
17.6 Ashish Nehra to David Miller 0
no run, Nehra has his hands on his head. That flicked the pad and didn't miss leg stump by much. Bit of tail on that delivery too. Miller had shuffled across to clip and missed
17.5 Ashish Nehra to George Bailey 1
1 run, yorker length on off, Bailey squirts it out to long-on. Baz fumbles, but they settle for a single
