Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians, 5th T20 Match, IPL 2014

Bangalore won by 7 wkts | Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Mumbai Indians Live Score, 5th T20 Match

It was touted to be a big ticket game, but Bangalore were all over a hapless Mumbai outfit. The second match of the day will begin in a while. Change tabs and join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Parthiv: 'We can express ourselves in this batting line-up. I always enjoy opening the batting in all forms of the game, both for my state as well as when I played for India. Hope to do well in this form as well. We can always play shots knowing the strength of our batting.'
Parthiv Patel is the MoM
Kohli: 'It is a lovely feeling, two wins and on top of the table for now. We were a bit nervous at 17/3, but AB batted positively, he and Parthiv did exceptionally well as a partnership. It was good that AB got a decent hit in the middle as well.'
Rohit: 'I think we were short on the runs, 115 was never going to be easy for the bowlers. Even though we got early wickets, one partnership took the game away. It is still early days and we should concentrate on the next game. Lasith is a world-class bowler but we as batters should give them the runs to play with.'
At 17/3, there would have been plenty of concerns in the Bangalore camp. Parthiv Patel and AB de Villiers were pretty organised though, they treated the bowling on merit. They built the partnership with ones and twos, the occasional boundaries came along and finished the chase with a flourish. Zaheer Khan and Lasith Malinga breathed fire with the new ball, but Mumbai did not have men to support their opening act. 2nd straight loss for Mumbai, 2nd straight win for Bangalore and the Mumbai camp will have a lot to think over.
