Kings XI Punjab vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, 9th T20 Match, IPL 2014

Punjab won by 72 runs | Kings XI Punjab Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Live Score, 9th T20 Match

Punjab are simply looking unstoppable as they record their third straight victory on the trot. Serious issues for Hyderabad though as they join Mumbai at the bottom of the table. Chennai will take on Rajasthan in tomorrow's match. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Maxwell: 'I don't really think about any plans before the games. I was a bit lucky today, but nice to win the game. I just try and play my natural game, pick up some areas to hit and target some specific bowlers. It will be nice to get a century, but I would like to score more and more runs for my team.'
Maxwell is the MoM
Bailey: 'Nice to put up a good score on the board. Good start from Viru and Pujara, Maxwell rode his luck a bit but this was a good score on this track. We are realistic that this will not happen everytime (Maxwell scoring all the runs), we need to step up at times. Balaji came back well, good show by the spinners as well and our fielding was excellent.'
Dhawan: 'I think we dropped too many catches. Maxwell catch was the key and we lost early wickets as well. Batsmen need to take more risks when you are chasing 190 plus and the batters need to take more responsibility. We will work hard and comeback stronger.'
A lop-sided encounter at Sharjah. Hyderabad were never in the contest after dropping Maxwell on 11. The 'Big Show' continued his dream run and only his imperiosity cost him his wicket, again short of a century. Hyderabad's batting came apart, their top-order failed and the inexperienced middle and lower order simply did not have any answers to the Punjab bowlers. Balaji picked up 4 wickets, Johnson and Patel grabbed two each as Punjab go top of the table.
