Johnson Charles: 'I think that was a good innings. Previous match I struggled a bit. I came out with a bit more intent today. My job is to bat through the innings. I enjoy batting with Darren Bravo. The wicket improved a bit in the 2nd innings. It got flatter. The plan was to get to my three figures and take the side through.'

Kieron Pollard: 'We find ways to get into these kind of positions. Bowlers did really well in the first half. Credit to Charles for the way he played. At the end of the day, we got over the line. These sort of victories bring us together tighter. We wanted to go to Trinidad with 2 wins under our belt. We have a couple of days to think about our performance. Hopefully we can give a better show in the next games. I graciously pass the captaincy back to Bravo. Thanks to the crowd for giving us the support. Bravo's was just a precautionary break as we have a long season ahead. Rampaul has a few scans more left and we shall know his status only after that.'
Virat Kohli: 'The way the wicket played in the 2nd innings, I don't feel the score was enough. In the first innings there was a lot of turn because of the dampness. There wasn't any turn in the 2nd innings. It was commendable effort by the bowlers and fielders. Dhoni is really calm under pressure and there was a time where we missed him. We tried to take as many wickets as possible and win it. We just wanted to put up a decent score on the board. It was just a matter of one wicket. We could have won it. West Indies played a great game.'
Kudos to West Indies. They did a great job of restricting the strong Indian batting line-up to an average score. Later, thanks to Charles, their innings went through smoothly before a few brain fades made the match interesting. The birthday boy Kemar Roach kept his cool and played calmly to escort his side to safety. India will not exactly be displeased with this act. Despite the absence of their skipper MS Dhoni, they battled hard, led by the aggressive Virat Kohli who rotated his bowlers and fielders admirably.
